Chuck Blevins

Chuck Blevins, an international print production consultant, has more than 45 years of experience in the newspaper and printing industry. He has been instrumental in helping clients optimize their operation through strategic planning, process development, equipment definition and facility equipment layout techniques.

Mr. Blevins is recognized for his innovative approaches with industry firsts. Most recently, Chuck was involved in the New Valpak Manufacturing Center where he teamed with Cox Target Media in reengineering the manufacturing process for a new 470,000 square foot facility where it showcases some of the world's most advanced systems and is one of the most automated direct-mail operations in the world. This material handling concept is now serving as a guideline for the future of the industry.

Early in his career, as vice president of production for Gannett Co., Inc., Chuck was responsible for developing the field production processes and procedures for USA Today at 33 sites in the United States, Europe, and Asia while vice president of production for Gannett Co., Inc.

His extensive knowledge of production and distribution operations, process and equipment analysis, and the latest systems control and re-engineering techniques and technology has given him the opportunity to work on projects in the United States and overseas, including Chile, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

As an industry leader, Chuck regularly contributes articles on management, quality, operations, process, and planning issues to various trade publications including the Ifra publication, Newspaper Techniques, Newspapers and Technology, Editor & Publisher, Presstime and TechNews. His insights and opinions are often quoted in these journals and is a direct testimony of his successful track record in creating effective operational plans.

Chuck is recognized worldwide for his management consulting services based on Dr. Deming's 14 management principles. He works with clients to determine how these concepts can improve their operations.
